To make this sound i used the twente online radio tuner (http://websdr. Ewi. Utwente. Nl:8901/). I recorded as i changed the listening frequency and filter (bandwidth). The sound is only amplified.

To me the final effect sounded like a haunted space ship. I began with a 10 second sample of ordinary speech then lowered the pitch, stretched the wave pattern, added echo and reverb. Then i copied portions of the wave pattern to a new track and mixed the two into a mono track. Did this several times while also using noise reduction and normalization.

This is a smoothly rising shepard tone that i created using adobe audition 3's tone generator. I generated the tone as sine waves in 7 different octaves and mixed the results together. The period of repetition is 10 seconds. (this is a second version in which i removed the phase variance, making the sound monophonic for all practical purposes).

Recording #1 of my own shirt flapped, snapped, whipped, waved etc. If you pitch-shift this down (or slow it down) it can sound (imo) indistinguishable from, say, a large flag or large sail being pulled and snapped in the wind. This had recording noise removed, and silences auto-trimmed, with auto-regions from that trimming generated and saved in the file (handy for selecting a sound region easily or exporting regions as a lot of separate sounds). A real series of gastrointestinal sounds - very funny. Robots converse about the sounds and one of the robots make a funny comment about another one. Contains real human laughter and a real human scream placed in a specific way in the sound wave to add a funny effect.

Using a frequency filter by setting its oscillations in variable arrays i was able to make most of these sounds. Also vocoding and feedbacks and feed throughs were happening. Then they were altered in audacity.

Cool sounds from filter. The two filters filter a tri-wave. The filters are almost self oscillating and are modulated by an lfo. Natural tones. And some spring reverb and analog delay.
